Welcome

In the offering is ten (10) hours’ worth of content, developed by family law practitioners for family law practitioners - technical and practical sessions, and thought-provoking plenary sessions, with something for everyone, from sole practitioners/barristers and micro firms to those practising in large teams. Commenced in 2023, Saturday’s content will also incorporate a third, concurrent stream tailored to early career practitioners.

We are pleased to again host the Retreat at QT on the Gold Coast, which opened up the capacity for greater numbers. Whether flying solo for the weekend, or travelling with family, there is plenty to do at the venue and within the surrounds of Surfers Paradise. In-house delights including impressive breakfasts at Bazaar, a fine dining Japanese restaurant Yamagen (offering sushi making classes and whisky tastings), spaQ (think massages, facials or roasting yourself in a steam room) and of course easy access to the Esplanade and walks along Main Beach.  We are pleased to host the Retreat mid-year again this year, to avoid the end of year busyness.

Friday night’s social function marks the half-way point of the Retreat over drinks with friends, and the welcome and closing networking drinks are a great opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues and to meet other professionals.
